Where do you stand?
Lately Carmen and I have been encountering a lot of literature concerning the Illuminati, Police states, and have been noticing that many people in the metaphysical community are afraid to voice their opinions on spirituality. We have many friends who would like to stay under the radar, do not want to share their views with their family, or who are scared to speak their minds. This post is just a little encouragement for the opposite.
So the Illuminati...
This secret organizations is said to be composed of famous figures that have secret wants for control and world domination. There are rumors that people in this organization sold their soul to the devil, or that they are secretly plotting to control all the information people are exposed to on a daily basis. There are numerous articles, documentaries, etc. on this group but there is no concrete evidence of responsibility for anything.
I am by no means an advocate of conspiracy theory or the like, but I want to make an important point. You have to question all information that you come in contact with. A lot of news, trending articles, and even scientific journals are funded by large corporations who want promotion. Everything from medicine, to politics is affected by corporations who help fund them. This is not a bad thing. It just makes sense. Money talks, and it's easy to look over the hard details to make someone look better if they are benefiting you. Have you been guilty of this in your life? Did your parents ever bribe you not to share information to the other one? This is a natural way we influence each other, but the power of businesses and political organizations can be an important thing to consider whenever you are reading articles and forming opinions.
Keep in mind what YOU believe in. And follow your intuition if you do not think something is entirely true. Also realize, that just as the media can alter your mindset, so can spirits alter the mindset of your spirit. Spiritual practice and advocating for the calling of your spirit is how you keep a strong will. If the there are forces attempting to control you, it is your duty to make effort to avoid losing your voice. Fight for what you believe in, and to keep what is in your heart at the forefront of your mind when you are reading, studying, or learning new things.
Police State
A police state is something that is very scary, especially for those of us that live in free countries like the USA. We are free to express our opinions, thoughts and ideas, even though we do not always do this. In a police state, everything is controlled by armed forces and government and it is enforced through militaristic action. If a government like this emerges, the people are persecuted for beliefs that defy the state.
So how does a police state effect spirituality? If you want the answer, think of the Nazi Party in Germany. That is a prime example of a police state. People were afraid because they were powerless to do something against men with guns who weren't afraid to kill them. The voices of the oppressed where not heard, and early on, nothing was done to stop what was thought to be unthinkable. In order to prevent something like this from happening, all forms of belief need to stand up for themselves and make a presence.
You might think, how would my talking about spirituality prevent a militia from taking over? Well, ill explain. If you voice your opinion without fear, people will listen to you. If you come with knowledge, a willingness to understand the views of others, and encourage them that your way brings more to their life, people will get the message. The more you talk, the more you share, and the more you try to touch the lives of others through your own life experience, the more acceptance you build and the more understanding. Talking about your beliefs may not be easy, but it promotes tolerance, and prevents the spread of ignorance where it starts. If you never talk about it, the world will remain ignorant. Ignorance is the breeding ground of hate.

It is important that you share your view for a few reasons. Sharing promotes understanding, tolerance, and helps to spread your message to those that may not have had a chance to hear it yet. If you stay in your community and only talk about spirituality at events and gatherings, you are not a committed practitioner. You must believe in what you do so strongly, that it is a part of you and you want to share it. That is when the real results start to come. Do not be afraid of what you believe in. The more you talk and share, listen and learn, the stronger your beliefs and ideas will become. The more information you take in, the more you can share and understand the world around you. So I encourage anyone reading this to come out of their spiritual closet, and let themselves be known to the word, not just for them, but for you.
