This is a discussion to better know one another. Please no arguments. (: You can start another thread for debates, but they must be peaceful. (: Curtis (itsmagickalmagda) and I are part of a very small branch of Paganism: magickalmenagerie.wix.com/the-cobalt-order/ We are planning to start webcast religious services weekly. (: Any topics of interest you would like covered should be commented as well if you are interested! Also if you don't have a temple of any kind you like to go to and want to offer your prayers up in a less conventional way -- we have an e-temple that gets no use so far but we would love it to -- for any denomination, any creed, any religion, or even those who don't follow religion. It's for everyone <3 www.magickalmenagerie.com/#!temple/cauk

In the simplist terms I believe in everything.. almost lol I feel that most religions connect and have truth in them. Im always wanting to learn about different religions as I too was forced into christianity. So im still learning and don't claim a certain religion.

My practice and what I believe in has evolved a lot since I started studying the pagan path. I consider myself a witch, a magical practitioner, a friend to those of spirit, and guide to those who may need guiding. I believe that every religion prays to the same "Source" the ultimate being that created everything. But with that being said, I believe the plethora of Gods and Goddesses are different facets of that "Source." When I first started studying Wicca 8 years ago I didn't believe that, or at least I didn't want to believe that. Over the course of my years of studying different paths of spirituality, magic, and awareness; I found that to be true. (for me personally .. I apologize if I sound preachy I don't mean to be) I am new to the path of spirit keeping but I am really excited to learn and grow as this new path unfolds before me.
I do work with different Gods and Goddesses, some that I consider my Patron and Matron and others I consider brothers, sisters, friends, and even wise grandparents. I believe that my relationship with the gods and goddesses is not a path of worship but a path of friendship. Through meditation and spell work/ritual I have learned that (for me) they want to be friends and help me live the best life that I can and in return I offer them with acts of kindness to humanity in their name. Kind of like paying it forward. My Patron is the Grecian ruler of the Sea the Mighty Poseidon and my Matrons include: The Torch-bearing Witch Queen Hekate, The Wise Crone who stirs her Cauldron of Knowledge the shapeshifting Cerridwen, and The Grecian Goddess of the Earth the Mother Gaia. (I have a rush of energy .. I think I like how I introduced them to you all tonight.
I have studied different forms of magic. I have taken bits and pieces from each practice, poured them into a melting pot which then becomes my spiritual practice. I like to consider myself very eclectic.
Many blessings everyone )O(

I absolutely love this <3 Liri, how did you discover this was your path? What did you do to keep yourself motivated? IF you dont mind me asking that is!!! I am not really sure what I am right now. First off, I don't really like to label myself. It makes me feel permanently restricted to a specific way of doing things, but I am always changing. So I am whatever I decide to be, whatever mix of that which pleases my Higher Self the most. It's a sort of wild goose search, researching whatever I feel pulled to and sticking with whatever resonates clearly for me.
I was raised as a Catholic. My mother and I have never seen eye to eye and her strict Catholic ideas were commonly the root of this. I am definitely not saying all Catholics are bad, my mother was just a little overbearing with it and only when it suited her. I left home at 17 to begin walking my own path without her to force me to bend to her will.
I quickly became an atheist and did whatever pleased me in the moment. Those were dark times that I am a little ashamed of. But only a little. I made my choices and I'm a wiser person for it now.
I then realized that not having any spiritual practice made me feel empty inside and nothing could quench that. I started studying Buddhism, and learned about loving-kindness. I think that was the life changer, right there. Loving-kindness. At first, I couldn't understand it. How do you love someone you don't even know? Love is for family, your boyfriend, your priest; not a bum begging for change outside the liquor store, not the jerk customer who makes you count out every charge he has and explain it. So I tried it, tried being loving towards everyone.
In the past few weeks, I found Wicca and other forms of witchcraft I had been unfamiliar with, as well as spirit keeping. I am reading the Book of Shadows and a few other things. After my life as a Catholic, I am so excited to learn about other things, about the Old Times and the way things probably should be done. I feel the love coming from Mother Earth as I walk the trails outside my town, and I feel peace from the stars above. I am ecstatic that I have the chance to practice as I want, to be free of others' expectations of me.
I am so excited to be welcoming my own spirits within the next few weeks. I hope we can become the best friends possible ^.^

I absolutely love this <3 Liri, how did you discover this was your path? What did you do to keep yourself motivated? IF you dont mind me asking that is!!! Thank you. I discovered my path when I was 16, that is when I heard about wicca at my high school and I started researching it at home. I went hardcore studying after I was put in the hospital when I was seventeen for a sever stomach condition. I began my search for balance and harmony then. Now motivation that is a touchy topic. I find that I go through periods where I don't really do anything spiritually and other periods where I am spiritual all the time. It's like hitting a rut. But how I come out of that said rut is by learning something new (it works for me). I always want to learn something new about my path, to create something new and fun. That is how I stay motivated.
